Top Ten Books on My Spring To Read List
This post is inspired by The Broke and the Bookish’s weekly meme Top Ten Tuesday. The bloggers at The Broke and the Bookish love to make lists and it just so happens that I do too. The topic this week is: Top Ten Books On My Spring To Read List. Most of the books I’ve listed are review requests (in order of priority) and author gifts. So here are the books that I will be reading this spring, plus some that may not get read. After having all of it compiled, it’s quite a diverse list.
Top Ten Books to Read This Spring
1. The Earthquake Machine by Mary Pauline Lowry
I’m currently reading The Earthquake Machine and I also am hosting a giveaway at the moment (it ends soon!). Mary Pauline Lowry has also written a wonderful guest post about her inspiration for her book.
2. Don Carina by Ron Russell
Don Carina is a historical fiction novel about the mystery around the death of the Prince of Naples. Only been able to get a couple chapters in but it’s intriguing so far. I don’t read much historical fiction but I’m looking forward to the change of pace.
3. The Informationist by Taylor Stevens
I won the audiobook of the second book in the Vanessa Monroe series. So naturally I have to read the first one. I’ve been listening to it since yesterday as I take care of things around the house and it’s kept my interest for the entire day today.
4. Until Next Time by Amy Lignor
I’m on the Until Next Time Blog Tour and I have interview and review plans in April. Look forward to learning about the author and reading.
5. The Innocent by Taylor Stevens
As mentioned above, I won this book in a giveaway from Crown Publishing. I love audiobooks so entering the giveaway was sort of a knee-jerk reaction for me. I didn’t realize it was book two. Oh well, now I get to listen to two audiobooks.
6. Elements: The Beginning by Kate Fuentes
In addition to a review, I have an interview scheduled in April with Kate Fuentes. Elements is about twins with extraordinary powers over the elements. I’ll let you know how it is in April.
7. The Kiss Off by Sarah Billington
At the end of April, I will have a interview with Sarah Billington combined with a giveaway of The Kiss Off. Her novel looks like a fun read and is centered around a hit song written by the heroine. It looks different and I’m looking forward to
8. Preservation by Rachael Wade
At the end of April, I will have a interview with Rachael Wade combined with a giveaway of Preservation. In May, I have a review planned as planned. Rachael Wade’s previous books are young adult but Preservation is an adult novel. I’m eager to see try out the new genre.
9. Death by Chocolate by Julie Anne Lindsey
Soon I will also have an interview with Julie Anne Lindsey and a giveaway of Death by Chocolate. A review will have to come later but it’s on the list.
10. Stay by Allie Larkin
I borrowed Stay from my sister and I need to finish it before May when I see her again. I’m a dog lover and this book came with high praise from my sister. If I don’t read it in time, I will have to ship it to her. Let’s hope I make it.
